If you have virtual dj software of any kind on a pc notebook or laptop from the past two years with Vista, you may have noticed that you have no 'stereo mix' function. You cannot record or broadcast from audio media through your soundcard. Until you install VAC [Virtual Audio Cables] by Russian software engineer Eugene Muzychenko. I installed and was very troubled and confused by all the options and functions but finally after wrestling with this for 24 hours non-stop, was able to generate a default for my computer running Virtual Dj Pro.

My first broadcast through ustream.tv from a compaq presario notebook was made on Novemer 11, 2008. This is a partial result of that show.

Virtual Audio Cable 4.08

VAC is intended to connect several audio applications together in real time. It's like a sound card with hardwired input and output: when an application sends an audio stream to a virtual cable, other applications can record this stream from the other cable end. Thus, you can record and process output of almost any audio application by almost any other audio application.

Hello from DJ Choppercat:
It helps if you know how to make a remix with vinyl. That is my former experience as a club's resident DJ. I will recommend some freeware online and download that you can experiment with and record your practice. You want to capture the good and the bad, especially when you are learning. There are times in practice I get so frustrated and think this is lousy but the recording played later might demonstrate something that sounds good. Then you have to think again about what you did right and wrong. Part of learning.
Also, will recommend you start connecting with DJs online and here I am, very good with internet search, and can tell you that there are tight communities of DJs online and lots of single, still looking, roaming DJs that have no interest in social networks. This is one that does and it is a great boost.
Join http://bedroomdj.ning.com and introduce yourself by SENT MESSAGE to administrator Jason. Let him know what you expect and your interests. This group gets some great interviews with the pro world of djing and amateur and home-spun, too.
Go and join online, http://www.jamglue.com and make some cool beats and sample your favorite mp3s by uploading then rip em apart in the FLASH based editor and make new versions and remixes. These will be saved as mp3 to play and download.
Search Google, and download after you read this, T-Player.

It is a 2-Channel mixer that is freeware and resembles a mixer board with left right identical panels. You will want to locate on your computer, a recording device. If you do not have one, search for and install a skinnable recorder called mp3Mymp3.

Another software, that resembles the mixing production at jamglue.com is also freeware. It is called Audacity but it can be very complicated. I recommend you struggle with it and learn that it will 'clean' up your most favorite recorded mixes that just need a little tweaking in sound engineering. Cleaning up the sound, etc.

Something that we could learn when searching for songs seems to be reserved for superior web -savvy searchers of music..it is a cultural phenomenon known as a mp3blog or mp3 blog.

This post and group is here to share the knowledge. Eventually if you read the posts, not only will you find good music but learn what websites, desktop tools, and more can make searching fun, fast and in large quantities hopefully quality music, too.

mp3blog is a great search keyword. mp3 blog is another option.

PHENOMENON mp3 blogging grabber

 

The following is a demonstration of download freeware [a subscription deal is available, too.] Internet Download Manager. Click on image above to visit site.

IDM has the ability to download any file practically and as a DJ and music enthusiast it is dependable for ripping mass quantities of mp3s and videos off of mp3 blogs and other sites.

It is a PC based script for downloading that replaces the download script on a WINDOWS platform. The script for downloading on WINDOWS is written into Internet Explorer. Don't panic. If you install IDM and decide not to use it then just uninstall and your PC will be restored to previous download script. There is a plug-in for Mozilla browsers Firefox and Flock. It does not work in Google Chrome which has it's own native download script.

Compaq Presario CQ50-105NR

TIKI TOON is a creative outlet for one person who markets design and illustration on brands from cafepress and zazzle, too. This past year, all my creative outputs on the web have been delayed because of sticky computer flaws, loss of data and finally a short-circuited motherboard.

DJ Choppercat is my other outlet on the web. I lost a large collection of stored mp3s to use with VIRTUAL DJ Pro v. 5.  I know soon it would behoove me to get an external drive for storage.

So it pleases me to have advanced all the information from WINDOWS experience with both XP and Vista and many softwares, to a new laptop Compaq Presario CQ50-105NR. It is running my programs on Vista flawlessly. Knock on 'silicon'.

In the later 1980s, in Modesto, CA and usually going out to it's only gay bar to dance on weekends there were several weekends of disappointing music so I said to the owner, "what's this, I could do better." See a dj friend and ex-lover was teaching me the art of technics turntablism. So the owner said be there on Thursday for the next few weeks and until 1991, became the resident weekend DJ. This year, I have really offered some of my best recordings to podomatic.com account and have gained the respect of many djs as well as joining every new and sustained dj social network on the web. I invested in software twice at $50.00 a pop to get subscription access to webcam audio/video enable chat rooms at camfrog.com and Icuii.com. There are some great ways to also dj in yahoo chat rooms, userplane has a great FLASH interface with the best playback for audio/video. Joined ustream.tv and downloaded from a RUSSIAN, freeware that records your desktop in realtime and motion combined with a webcam shot inset so the ustream.tv broadcast becomes an experience for viewers to see the VIRTUAL DJ Pro in action as software while the webcam focused on the intensity of my concentration to spin a good 20 - 60 minutes set of music. Well, since my motherboard has crashed and am using an old edition of a Dell with XP PRO it is just not able to run any thing musically at this point even a desktop player like winamp and windows media player are crashing constantly. Just this year, as the breakthrough of what is being called "bedroom djs" broadcasting audio and some implementing video cams etc., well, dead in the water, at the moment until December when a grant will allow me to buy a new computer. Much of the layout that was months of practice with all the 'turned on' applications to broadcast a live stream and were perfected on XP Windows did not run well for many months on VISTA. Was just getting back to it and the kinks worked out when motherboard died. For your entertainment, I am submitting now my last LIVE broadcast before the crash. There is an art to downloading music and you got to be web savvy and so I will assume you are up to the language on the internet.
I am DJ Choppercat and discuss this and music in my blog. SO here are my tips.
1. Learn to search the term 'mp3blog' at google or other search engines.
2. Visit hypem.com that is a mp3blog aggregator [it collates data from
thousands of sources and then re-formats it into a playlist for the
website.]
~ each track listed at hypem.com will have an url to visit the hypem.com
version of the original blog post. You want the next link which should
not include hypem.com in the url. It will often be a blogspot.com blog or
another.
~ This link will take you especially to the original post of the mp3 in a
blog. Until this year, most mp3blogs would have a link to immediately
click and begin dowloading. Most blogs now use rapidshare.com or
another host requiring another link you visit, enter captcha pass
phrase and then download will begin and some sites ask you to
register.
~ use a mozilla browser, preferably FLOCK but boring firefox can do because you want to go to mozilla.com and attach these add-ons to 'mine and grab' the files in bulk even if the page has each mp3 listed with a file share like rapidfire. The keywords to add-ons that you want are RSFind and DOWNLOADTHEM ALL. Set up each one from options to search for .mp3 files on a page.
~ There is another add-on that appears to have nothing to do with this at first but creates a tiny FLASH object in your mozilla browser's bottom tool bar. When you are on a page with mp3's, it will tell you how many are on the page. At an mp3 blog that you visit, it is not uncommon for the number to be 143 or 43 or 67. Let's you know you hit the JACKPOT. It is called YOUR MINIS HUD at mozilla.com add-ons.
3. Skip LiMEWIRE if you want to keep your computer clean. Use a newsgroup through your POP or IMAP email client. If you only use web-based email, you can visit GOOGLE GROUPS and find many newsgroups in a 'google web version'. Search Google groups keyword 'mp3' and 'mp3blog'.
4. For a measley 14.00 a month, join USENEXT.com. I download one thousand songs a month from them and that is at the cost of purchasing one CD from ViRgin Atlantic or wherever. Usenext.com is probably the most variety of versions and remixes of current songs that I can possibly find.
5. Subscribe for a 30-day free trial to XM Radio and find your format and listen to their station. Visit the station website and get the twice-monthly chart TOP 50. Save a copy and search from it when you are looking up tracks on hypem.com or usenext.com.
